Description

The coin features D’Artagnan, one of the main protagonists of the historical adventure novel The Three Musketeers, in the centre of the reverse. He is a young, poor nobleman from Gascony who comes to Paris to make a fortune. His character is one of courage, nobility, ambition and intelligence. Like any romantic hero, he is driven by love and a chivalrous spirit, so sometimes D’Artagnan crosses certain boundaries, but nevertheless he is an invaluable ally and the soul of the team. This courageous young man is the pioneer of the idea that each individual should act for the good of the group and the group – for the good of each of its members.

The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Technologies such as digital printing, antique finish and high relief were used in the production of the coin. The D’Artagnan and the Musketeers coin is sold in a special blue box.
